At the first wave, I was disappointed because I wasn't able to build towers on the road and make mazes. After playing a while, I was nicely surprised to see creeps crossing the roads, moving from a side to another, I like this idea. I personally balanced the original game, and I never thought about that. Nice !

Did you test you map with buildable roads ?

A little mistake with landscape : The wall at the top end of the road must be in background in your layer stack (in the editor). If not, it's displayed on top of the enemies. In your case, the only two items that should be in foreground are the flower and the wall at the bottom end of the road.

It was my first design decision to not let the player build on the road. I've seen too many tower defence levels where the player can stack all their towers in the first 10% of the map and the rest of that map remains empty. I wanted to avoid that and create a 'canyon' type level. I'm saving the maze creation stuff for a later level.

I'm glad you liked the lane changing effect. I had fun playing around with that and used variations on that effect to make some of the waves more visually interesting (although I ran out of steam by the final wave).

A landscape mistake? Damn. I guess I should have read the manual before diving in and making this level, but I'm too impatient :)

4 Lane Dirt Top

My first level. 4 lanes of enemies moving from left to right. Flame Throwers and Tesla towers are of limited use here due to their short range. I didn't use any during final playtesting.

This was playtested without using any Cash Machines (but obviously with prior knowledge of the waves). So it should be completable with Cash Machines available.
